The holiday spirit is in full swing in Boulder! Here’s a roundup of festive events to make your winter season magical:
Switch on the Holidays
📅 Sunday, Nov 24 | 🕔 5:00 PM | 📍 1300 Block of Pearl Street
Join us as we kick off the holiday season by lighting up Pearl Street Mall, Civic Area, and the Boulder County Courthouse! The event starts at 5 PM, with the magical switch flipped at around 5:20 PM. Plus, visit with Santa at the Downtown Boulder Visitor Information Center until 7 PM.
Snow Much Fun
📅 Nov 24 - Jan 31 | 🕛 All Day | 📍 Pearl Street Mall
Experience downtown Boulder in a whole new way with the Snow Much Fun self-guided Augmented Reality (AR) tour. Wander through a winter wonderland, scan QR codes, and interact with animated snowmen and penguins!
St. Nick on the Bricks

Santa’s in town! Bring your wish list and camera to capture those priceless holiday memories. Visits are free, but a $10 donation per group is appreciated.
Lights of December Parade

This annual parade features dazzling floats by local businesses, schools, and community groups. The grand finale? Santa Claus himself! The parade route starts at 15th & Walnut, making its way through Broadway and Pearl Street.
Freezie Fest & Cookie Crawl

Winter Storm Warning ❄️🌨️

Until: Saturday, Nov. 9, 12:00 PM MST
Issued By: National Weather Service - Denver/Boulder, CO
Affected Areas: Southern Front Range Foothills, Boulder and Denver’s western suburbs, Denver metro area, Castle Rock, and Byers
What to Expect:
Heavy Snow: Total accumulations of 7-14 inches across affected areas, with higher totals east of Denver.
Timing: Snow intensifies Friday morning, continuing through Friday night, and tapering off by Saturday noon.
Travel Impacts: Expect challenging to impossible travel conditions, especially during the Friday morning and evening commutes.
Preparation Tips:
If you must travel, be sure to have a winter storm kit ready, including:
Tire chains, booster cables, flashlight, and a shovel
Blankets, extra warm clothing, water, and a first aid kit

Additional Information:
This prolonged storm will bring historic snowfall to the Denver area and surrounding regions, with some eastern areas nearing three feet of total accumulation. Avoid travel east and southeast of Denver, as conditions will remain hazardous even after the storm exits.
