🚫 City Closes Boulder Falls – Safety First!

Photo by: City of Boulder Gov
Heads up, Boulder adventurers! The City of Boulder has temporarily closed Boulder Falls due to trail damage from a recent rockslide. This closure is necessary to ensure visitor safety, as weather conditions have caused soil movement, damaging key trail infrastructure. 🌧️🌲
Why the Closure?
The recent rockslide compromised parts of the trail and hillside barriers designed to catch loose rocks and sediment. The city’s Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) team is currently assessing the damage to determine what repairs are needed. Unfortunately, there’s no set timeline for reopening, so it’s best to plan your hikes elsewhere for now.
What You Should Know:
Please respect the closure signs and avoid the area for your safety.
OSMP will provide updates once they’ve fully assessed the damage.
For the latest trail status, visit OSMPTrails.org. Stay safe out there, and let’s give nature some space to heal! 🌿
