🌲 Enchanted Mesa/Kohler Mesa Loops
Wander through ponderosa pine forests and open meadows with breathtaking Flatiron views. These relatively flat trails are ideal for icy conditions—just pack your traction gear to be safe.

🚴‍♀️ South Boulder Creek & Cobalt/Sage/Eagle Trails
Accessible for visitors of all abilities, these trails offer tranquil winter landscapes. Adaptive mountain biking on South Boulder Creek Trail is a unique way to explore.

🛑 Heads Up: The Boulder Star area is closed, but you can admire it from other open space locations.

🔎 Winter Hiking Tips

  • Dress in layers for changing weather.

  • Wear proper footwear with traction gear to avoid slips.

  • Bring sunscreen—high elevation means stronger UV rays.

  • Stay on trails to protect nature and avoid social trail creation.

  • Practice Leave No Trace and pack out all trash.

Whether you're chasing fresh powder or serene views, winter hikes in Boulder offer endless opportunities for adventure. Let the season inspire you to lace up and explore!
