🐝 Buzzing with Purpose: Bee Boulder Festival Returns!

This Saturday, Boulder’s going full buzz-mode. The 11th Annual Bee Boulder Festival lands in Central Park on September 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and it’s the perfect mix of family fun and planet-friendly vibes. Expect high-energy performances from Jeff & Paige, hands-on arts & crafts for kids, and a buzzing lineup of nearly 30 local orgs sharing ways you can help our pollinator friends thrive. Plus, the Boulder Farmers Market and Artisan Market will be in full swing next door—so come for the bees, stay for the veggies, and shop a little local magic.

🌼 But seriously—saving the bees isn’t just a cute slogan. Bees (and other pollinators) are behind nearly one out of every three bites of food we eat. Without them, our ecosystems—and food systems—start to unravel. Creating pollinator pathways, planting native wildflowers, and learning how to bee a better human all start with awareness. So let’s celebrate the little creatures doing big work for our planet.

🌼 Bee Kind, Bee Curious, Bee There

Whether you’re planting pollinator-friendly flowers or just vibing to Jeff & Paige, this weekend is all about doing a little good for the planet—while having a lot of fun.

Trivia Answer: D) Honeybee 🐝 — While honeybees are incredibly important for agriculture, they’re actually not native to North America. Native species like leafcutter bees, mason bees, and bumblebees have been pollinating Colorado’s wildflowers long before honeybees buzzed onto the scene.

📖 See you Friday!
