Think fireworks are the only way to celebrate? Not in Boulder. This long weekend brings a burst of cultural sparkle—from Phish jamming at Folsom to Shakespeare in the park, from softballs flying at Stazio to salsa in the streets of NoBo. Whether you’re kicking back at the reservoir, grooving at the Farmers Market, or juggling your way into local lore, Boulder’s got a Fourth of July lineup that’s high on fun and low on explosives.

🎨 Art & Culture

🎨 First Friday Art Walk (July 4): The NoBo Art District lights up with live music, artist demos, and pop-up surprises from 6–9 PM. Just follow the colorful flags along Broadway.

🖼️ Bob Knox: Colors of the Sun (Nick Ryan Gallery): A bold, metaphor-rich solo exhibit running through August 2. Pop in and get inspired.

📖 Museum of Boulder Exhibits:

• Bending the Arc – Celebrating 50 years since Boulder issued marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

🌊 Cool Off at Boulder Reservoir: Open daily from 6 AM–8 PM, swim area from 10 AM–5:30 PM. Bring sunscreen and a snack—it’s summer magic by the water.

🎪 Boulder Juggling Festival (July 4–6): Held at the Boulder Circus Center with workshops, open juggling, and a raucous “Renegade Show” at night.

🚫 Fireworks Reminder

No fireworks in Boulder city limits (including parks and trails). Head to nearby towns for official shows, and please respect open space fire restrictions.
